Parkinson’s SA Inc (PSA), a not for profit organisation, is dedicated to supporting people living with Parkinson’s disease and their carers.
‘The Unity Walk for Parkinson’s in the Mid North’ is to be held next Sunday, 28th October, on the Clare Oval commencing at 11:00am, with registration and warm up sessions from 9:30am onwards.
This event will be the first time a Unity Walk for Parkinson’s has been held outside a capital city in Australia so PSA is very keen for it to be a huge success. There are approximately 6500 Parkinson’s disease sufferers in South Australia and a disproportionate number of these live in rural areas. This is believed to be a result of the farming community’s exposure to pesticides and weedicides which are known to be a factor in the cause of Parkinson’s.
